Imagine if we put our focus not only to the things that we desire but also to the things that can be hard to put desire towards. It can be hard to eat healthy all the time, exercise, or even find motivation to do both. My challenge to you is to think about the long term effects and how the long term effects will outweigh the short term effects. Yes eating healthy and consistent exercise can be difficult but when doing so, you are not only losing weight or gaining muscle but you’re also fighting diseases, improving activity levels, self esteem, cardiovascular system and much more #Benafits.
Swissball Single Leg RDL’s • Took this exercise from @realgame.athletics 🔥. This is an amazing exercise for stability and hip mobility and has the hamstrings on 🔥! • This is my first time trying it so apologies if it looks a little rusty (could’ve used a bigger ball too) but the focus here is to hinge the hips back and with doing so, the rear leg is kicking back, isolating the hamstring. It is key to focus on the HINGE so that the front knee stays in one place and the back & neck stays neutralized with the chest and shoulders upright. I’m using a 35lb plate in the opposite hand but kettlebells/dumbbells will also do just fine, or even no weight at all! Split Squat Single Arm Cable Push/Pull↔️ • Lately, I’ve been splitting my workouts into Upper/Lower body split. For so long I’ve been splitting my workouts by body part, ex. Monday-chest, Tuesday-back, etc. There is nothing wrong with that, but for me personally i have found that doing upper/lower body splits have been very #Benaficial to me and convenient with my schedule. • In this Single Arm Split Squat Push/Pull movement, I am isolating my chest and tricep as I push as well as my back and bicep as I pull. The split Squat also activates my glutes, quads and core. • Notice as I pull, I am relaxing my trap muscle and using my mid back and getting a good squeeze as I retract. As I push, I have my chest tall, pushing from my armpit and I have my arm hooked on the outside of the cable to have a better range.
